The specific focus is on libraries and schools, whereby a rich array of twelve realised projects is discussed in terms of the aforementioned notions, therefore entailing two approaches to architecture.

This issue’s theme of C3 magazine is ‘Climate and Milieu in Architecture’, approached from a standpoint somewhere in between the two polarities of man’s relationship with nature: the first, our fearful respect of its power; the second, our striving to understand nature in order to overcome it.
