Recent transformations in approaches to urban housing projects are the primary theme in this issue, which examines the contemporary paradigm shift with respect to dwellings from the standpoint of its history, the repercussions of 20th-century modernism, and the complex social phenomena involved in the conceptualisation and success (or failure) of housing projects.
