Tema(s):
Resumen: A special issue devoted to the architectural model, its place in the process from concept design to realization, and its usefulness as a tool which can serve as an expression of wide-ranging possibilities. Among its pages are featured a retrospective look at twelve examples of architectural models dating from 1949 to the present, in addition to detailed profiles and images of 35 models from twelve Japanese architects practicing today, among them, Jun Aoki, noiz architects, Ryoji Suzuki, Hiroshi Naito and Tetsuo Kondo. An insightful essay by Souhei Imamura, A Short History of Architecture Models in Japan, completes this overview of the beauty and utility of the model.
