The French philosopher Jean Baudrillac said that the absence or nothingness prevalent in our society can serve for the common things of our lives as the place "where they lose their sense, they become disidentified, where they could have all the possible meanings." For the philosopher, the nothingness has the same significance as the fragment, or the interstice, or the void.
